Scripture: And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

Observation: Our salvation is guaranteed by the Holy Spirit. The Amplified Bible says it this way: "That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the first fruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it--to the praise of His glory." He is the assurance of our salvation we will one day fully possess.

Application: The Holy Spirit is at work in us to transform us now and what we are experiencing now is only a foretaste of the total change which we will experience in eternity [NLT Life Application Bible]. 2nd Cor. 3:18 - "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." Then there will be a day when we will be changed in a twinkling of an eye. 1 John 3:2 - "But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is."

Prayer - Father, I know that I am being changed day by day by the power of your Spirit. I know I am not all that I should be but you are changing me. I thank you that one day I will possess my salvation. I have been saved [justification] - made right in your sight by the blood of Jesus. I am being saved [sanctification] - being changed into the image of Christ. I will be saved [glorification] - ultimately and completely be conformed to the image of Christ Jesus. Thank you for all you've done. In Jesus name, amen.
