Ash Wednesday..The Beginning of Lent

I found this song last night. I thought it would be a perfect start to the Lenten season...



Jesus is sufficient for all our needs. He will meet us where we are. All he asks is that we come...

The Grace Of God

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8 ESV I need the Lord. I seek Him daily. I rely on Him and in Him I put my hope. A blog post at http://www.lifeingraceblog.com/2012/03/grace-upon-gracethe-mystery-of-christ/  reminded me that I am not justified by my performance, by what I do. My justification, being made right in God's sight, is based on Christ and His performance. Christ lived a perfect, sinless life. He kept the entire Law perfectly. He went to the cross as a spotless Lamb. It is His work that is credited to me. There are no works that I can do to make me right in His sight. For that I am truly grateful. I am a sinner in need of a Savior. God met my need in Jesus. The pressure is off. That's so amazing! I remember reading a book by Chuck Swindoll called Grace Awakening. I read it several years ago.
