Who does God use?
Who does God use? People like those listed in the verse above.
1. Foolish
2. Weak
3. Lowly/Insignificant
If you are any one of the above, then you qualify to be used by God. You actually have been CHOSEN to be used by him
Sometimes we think that God only uses the wise, the strong, and the important people in this world for his kingdom purposes.
But we must remember that God's kingdom is an upside down kingdom. He does things differently than what we might expect.
Photo Credit Look at all the people in the Bible that God chose to use for his own glory. 1. Abraham - No heir but made his descendants into a mighty nation 2. Joseph - A slave to pharoah and then exalted to the second highest position in the land 3. Moses - born to slave parents but delivered the Israelites from bondage 4. Rahab - A harlot who became a descendant of Jesus 5. Gideon - the most insignificant person in his tribe who defeated the Midianites 5. David - a shepherd boy turned mighty king What about today's foolish, weak and insignificant people by today's stands whom God has chosen to use? 1. Joni Eareckson Tada - paralyzed in a wheel chair but making beautiful art pieces and encouraging others who are physically challenged 2. Nick Nujicic - born with no arms or legs but ministering the Gospel around the world. 3. Gladys Aylward - missionary agency turned her down thinking she was not fit to be a missionary but later went to China on her own and helped many children to safety. What do all these individuals have in common? They looked to God for strength and He empowered them through his Holy Spirit. Go....where you are....why??? You are chosen...empowered...called... Not in your own strength but His. |
