Domestically Disabled...
This post is about housekeeping or the lack thereof. You see, I've always had trouble keeping things neat and orderly.
My teen years were the beginning of the madness. I remember my grandmother coming to the end of the hall where my bedroom was and shaking her head. She would go "Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. That's a shame. Your poor mother."
Well, I've tried almost everything under the sun in order to get organized.
I even made this home management binder. It is chock full of forms and ideas. It has tons of inspirational articles to get me motivated.
It has such ideas as quick clean, emergency clean, Fly Lady zones, etc. to use.

But.....
My problem is I can't stick with any one thing. I get discouraged when I see all that there is to do. I get overwhelmed by clutter.
I know everything should have a place and things should be put in their right place.
But what if there is no place to put things?
We'll, I am going to make another attempt at using the Fly Lady system. I found this great idea on the internet and maybe having it right in front of me will help.
Like the Nike slogan says: "Just do it." or as my new slogan goes:
"Just Do Something."
Oh my friend. Please know this is my biggest obstacle. I am a Domestic Diva wanna be...you know that, right? I mean I don't exactly try to hide it. But my heart desires to be better. YOu wanna see clutter, come over for coffee! I also have tried a Binder but usually always keep all in my Planner. I am a fan of Fly Lady - love the calendar and general philosophy!
ReplyDeleteI know, Dawn. I think those of us who know God and his word want to be all that he has called us to be. Sometimes it is tough to live up to the Proverbs 31/Titus 2 model. Also, reading blogs which seem to have it all together can be discouraging. I'm just trying to share a little bit of living real. Progress not perfection, right?
